Entry Requirements


Description
At least 5 subjects with grades I or II prior to 1998 or III from 1998 at the CSEC (General Proficiency Examination) or GCE 'O'-Level grades A-C. Subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, and two (2) Science subjects one of which must be Chemistry or Integrated Science. Agricultural Science (Double Award) is also accepted for admission to the Programme
A Diploma in Agriculture from the Guyana School of Agriculture, with at least a pass with credit
An Ordinary Diploma in Science (ODS) - Chemistry, with at least a pass with Credit
A Secondary Trained Teachers Certificate and CXC/GCE passes in two Science subjects, one of which must be Chemistry or Integrated Science at the appropriate grades
A Diploma in Forestry from the University of Guyana
Mature applicants (a minimum of 21 years of age) who do not possess these qualifications may be considered for admission provided they have a good general education, creditable work experience in the field and a passing grade at the University of Guyana's Entrance Examination.The Faculty will consider each application on its merit
Any other qualification equivalent to any of the above
