Entry Requirements


Description
Three (3) subjects (Grades A-E) at the GCE 'A' Level OR three (3) subjects (Grades I - III) at CAPE (both units I and II), and one of which must be Chemistry.
An Associate Degree in Education with a specialization in Science and a minimum of 3 subjects at CSEC or equivalent inclusive of Mathematics and a Science subject. (Note: Agriculture Science (double award) is accepted as a science subject. Food and Nutrition is NOT accepted as a science subject.)
An Ordinary Diploma in Science (Chemistry) with a minimum Pass with Credit from the Government Technical Institute.
A minimum of 6 subjects CSEC (Grades I-III) OR 6 subjects at GCE 'O' Level (Grades A-C) at no more than two sittings inclusive of English A, Mathematics, Chemistry and one other Science subject. (Note: Agriculture Science (double award) is accepted as a science subject. Food and Nutrition is NOT accepted as a science subject.)
A minimum of 5 subjects GSEC (Grades I - III) OR 5 subjects at GCE 'O" Level (Grades A-C) at one sitting inclusive of English A, Mathematics, Chemistry and one other science subject. (Note: Agriculture Science (double award) is accepted as a science subject. Food and Nutrition is NOT accepted as a science subject.)
A Diploma in Agriculture with a minimum pass with credit from the Guyana School of Agriculture.
A Diploma or Associate Degree in Medical Technology.
An Associate Degree in Pharmacy.
An Ordinary Diploma in Science (Chemistry) with a pass, in addition to a minimum of 3 subjects at CSEC (or equivalent), inclusive of Mathematics and a Science subject. A Trained Teacher's Certificate with a specialization in Science and a minimum of 3 subject at CSEC or equivalent inclusive of Mathematics and a Science subject. (Note: Agriculture Science (double award) is accepted as a science subject. Food and Nutrition is NOT accepted as a science subject).
